I have psychotherapeutic experience in individual, marital and sexual dysfunctions. Until recently I maintained clinical responsibilities within a NHS Trust and held research and academic positions in British and Swiss Universities and in the International Pharmaceutical Industry. I set up a private consultancy firm dealing with psycho-physiological health hazards (i.e. shift-work schedules; insomnia; distraction; productivity) in large organisations.
My knowledge and experience has shown mental discomfort is not something that will vanish by talking to friends, reading DIY books or drowning oneself in drugs or alcohol. The fear that it might be some serious disorder of the mind may explain avoiding a specialised consultation: it is understandable, but rarely justifiable. Don't sit at home asking yourself:
My knowledge and experience has shown mental discomfort is not something that will vanish by talking to friends, reading DIY books or drowning oneself in drugs or alcohol. The fear that it might be some serious disorder of the mind may explain avoiding a specialised consultation: it is understandable, but rarely justifiable. Don't sit at home asking yourself:
• What is wrong? • What can be done? • Will I feel better?
• Am I capable of changing? • Is it all worth it?
You will need subtle professional skills, scientific know-how and expertise in diagnostic techniques, all of which I can deliver in my dealings with affective and anxiety disorders, disturbances of thinking, disordered personalities, conflicting sexual or interpersonal behaviours and the many other sources of psychological stress.
I can conduct our consultations in one of the following six major European languages:
• English • French • Spanish • German • Italian • Portuguese
